The JANAAC Calibration Laboratory Accreditation Programme evaluates the technical competence of public and private laboratories to conduct specific calibrations and tests in industries that depend on the “science of measurement” to facilitate fair trade, protect environments, human, animal and plant health. In this programme, calibration laboratories are required to demonstrate conformance to national standards and the management and technical requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard. The accreditation of calibration laboratories builds trust in the accuracy, reliability, traceability and comparability of measurement instrument readings.
