Foolproofing Your Management System: How to Prevent Nonconformities (Module 1)

Course Description

This course covers the basic principles of reviewing your management system to identify trends and patterns that could lead to nonconformities. Learners will identify ways/tips for preventing and minimizing the occurrence of nonconformities withing their management systems.

Learners will apply the concepts covered during the course through practical application. Through working in groups, participants will identify potential causes of nonconformities, and develop strategies and steps to prevent nonconformities.

Learning Outcomes and Topical Outline

  • Know the definition of a nonconformity.
  • Identify the requirements related to nonconformity for Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs).
  • Identify and analyze sources of potential nonconformities.
  • Understand the ways to prevent/minimize nonconformities in a management system.

Pre-requisites

· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and basic knowledge of management systems is an asset
