Technical Writing

Course Description

This exciting offering from JANAAC looks at imparting the necessary skills and techniques for successfully communicating complex ideas with objectivity and clarity. The course looks at conveying technical information in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to avoid misunderstandings and errors, preserve technical knowledge for future reference and ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

Learning Outcomes and Topical Outline

· Communicate complex ideas with clarity and objectivity, ensuring that technical information is conveyed accurately and precisely.

· Produce technical documents by using techniques such as organizing information logically, using appropriate language and tone, and employing visual aids effectively.

· Convey technical information in a manner that is easily understandable to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

· Analyze technical documents to identify and eliminate ambiguities, inconsistencies, and errors, to prevent misunderstandings and ensure accuracy.

· Understand the importance of documenting technical information to preserve knowledge for future reference and ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and best practices.
